Random ground occuring.

Every once in a while I will turn on my HU and I will get an annoying ringing sound in my right channel. Funny thing is that it has become very random to the point where I do not think it could be an external wire shorting out. Could this short be happening in the HU itself?

could be also could be a short in the antennae. pull the radio and hook it up outside the car and shake the hell out of it, if it happens while out it's the hu, if not um have fun

This happen while listening to a cd so either it is the wiring or HU. If it is the HU, RF just lost my business.

if the antennae is shorted it would do it no matter what's playing. If it's HU I may work a deal with you

I will see if I can do anything to try to fix the problem. If not then I will just chill and wait for you to start stocking Eclipse gear.

chances are its external wiring.. only real thing to do is check every connection between your HU and that speaker.. if everything checks out then borrow a HU from someone and try it for a week or so and see if the problem persists.. if so then its not the HU.. and then your just screwed

Well I now know it is caused from the car going over bumps. Car bounces once the buzzing comes in, car bounces twice buzzing stops.

bench test is the only way to isolate, there is a wire loose somewhere
