RF p6001bd
I dont know if im putting this in the right fourm but here it goes neways.
Ive been having issues with my amp. As the title says i have a rockford fosgate p6001bd. IT is pushing an Elemental Design 16oV2(dual 2ohm) in a ported box. Im running 4guage power and ground. I have a optima yellow (dual) running my car and the system. Now the problem is when i turn the volume up about 1/2-3/4 of the way the rockford cuts out and the protect light comes on the amp..I cant figure out why. Ive check my wiring and it seems fine....the ground is very solid and im very sure its getting enough juice.
Can anyone help me out
Thanks
Dion
ps: I have tested the sub and its pushing 4ohms out, so its not an ohm problem lol

Sounds like you've got most things covered...
just a quick question though... is the amp getting hot at all? Summer heat can make amps do funny things.
Also, how is the amp mounted? If it's mounted face down then it would almost definitely be an overheating problem.
If it's not getting too hot though, I'd bring it in to have someone take a look at it before it really goes bad.
