integra_gs_22 12-25-2007 12:20 AM

i had something like this happen to before i had to send in my deck to get checked out bc there was no ground i think on my rca's or something along the lines of that what u can do to check this out is pull ur deck out and get a wire and touch the wire onto the rca cable and ground it too ur car and it should stop but if thats not it then i dont knwo goood luck with it

nismoalty 12-25-2007 12:45 PM

it happens with a lot of people, i THINK its just like the voltage of power going thru the wires whenever you touch the volume knob...

Fresh_Prince 12-25-2007 02:06 PM

i think it could be the PAC adapter being a stock deck..its possible he is using the wrong model adapter
i know a lot of ppl who have the same issuse using stock deck....way too much bass coming from the sub

Sounds like some kind of grounding issue. probably in the deck, but i know its not really good to use stock decks, i say take out the deck.

hizzerdthewizzerd 02-15-2008 09:02 AM

hey it sounds like you have a bad ground loop
try to move your ground and should help the problem remember to ground in the same location for all your amps or on a ground plate

by the way im MECP so if you have questions let me know
hope that helps

make sure all wires are covered and nothing is in the loose...

I had this exact same problem. I check all the wires. Re-did the ground thightened everything down. Basically checked everything over and upgraded the RCA's and the problem went away. My friends car had the same problem, we did the same thing and the problem went away again. So, you know what my suggestion is.

ya he's right .. when i use to have a stereo in my car i had the same problem when i installed it and i found out it was my rca wires.. just replace them with good quality ones and that WILL solve your cousins issue.
