Recheck your wiring to make sure that all wires are correctly hooked up and taped up properly, cuz any bare wires could be shorting out.

are the interior speakers powered by the deck? if so , it might be that one of the speaker wires are shorted to ground. One way to check is to get your multi meter groung one of the leads and probe the wires looking for the wire that shows conitinuity when you touch it ( or you can use a test light and attach one lead to a constant power and probe the speaker wires till the test light lights up, the one that lights up is the lead thats shorted) .

If that doesnt work try to see if a one of the speakers is blown by using you meter to probe the speaker wires each pair should give you around 4 ohms of resistance . If you find a pair of wires that are close to 0 ohms then that is probably the culprit.

those two are the most likely things that are wrong, if those two ways dont fix it then it could be a problem with the deck in which case if you bought it new you can send it back for waranty.

good luck, hope this helps.

thanks... i put my old deck back in and everything is fine so im sure its the new deck.. but now my new speakers/subs sound like with my old deck is that even possible for a deck to make that much of a difference?
