Wiring

I have been told that one run of 0gauge wire will power my system. Now with one 0gauge amp wiring kit can I wire both of my amps or will I need TWO amp wiring kits? I also have 60ft of Monster Car audio speaker cable to wire the Alpine Speakers.

1 0ga kit, and then just get a distribution block to wire up the amps.

I am running a similar setup and I am running only 4 gauge power wire. and I have no problems. My only recommendation is get yourself a capacitor (1 farat) - at least

That's sweeet. What was your total price?

ecko223 08-19-2008 01:58 PM

haha, well i still need to buy the amp for the subs and the 0 gauge amp kit. Nothing is installed, ive been loafting.

So far its been about $500, I got everything discounted off ebay :)

thats a pretty good deal...if you ask me i would of used a different amp for the subs..
give em a bit more SQ oriented amp

ecko223 08-27-2008 01:37 PM

hmm what would you recommend? I want to run around 1000-1300watts to the subs.

oh and i put in the alpine type r's this weekend, they sound amazing.
