stinger is good man!

ribeiro953 01-23-2007 06:32 PM

first of all for what amp??? cause 4 gauge would be better unless your running serious power or more then 2 amps

theepan 01-23-2007 08:58 PM

im running 2 amps, one that is 2000 watts rms and the otehr is 500 watts rms. so is 0 gauge good or 2 gauge?

ribeiro953 01-23-2007 09:09 PM

Not really true.... bigger is generally considered better (Within reason of course)

The last thing you want to do is run your amp off of wire that is too small. It causes a potential hazard to you and your vehicle. Not to mention it starves your amp for power.

As for the Lightning vs Stinger... really, if both 0 guage kits actually use the same size of wire (some companies lie!) then there will really be no difference between the two. Just get which ever is cheaper.

some guys are saying for the power im goign to output i need to run 2 0 gauage wires is taht tru? i hve a yellow top battery, only 1 battery for the whole car and a 10 farad stinger cap. and people are saying that wont suffice, they say i need an high output alternator too. ist hat troo?

Spoke with selective sound, he said 180 for dblink 0 gauge power kit. but is that better than stinger is the question!!!

bro wire is wire is wire...get the cheaper one.

Now dump that cap...u dont need it and it wont help .

A HO alt would be a must i would say, if your gonna run ur amp at full power (2500 watts). BUT first do the big 3 and then see how it works out from there, whats ur stock alt putting out?

Wire is not wire, their are different strand count in wires, if you are going to be running that kind of power than I suggest you get something with a high strand count. The Db link I quoted you on is their pro kit so it has a very high strand count.

^^ I've heard good things about the dBLink stuff. They're a lesser known brand, but has good quality. :smilie_da
