WTF Someone please help!!

I set up my system this weekend and I'm about to toss is in the woodburning stove :soapbox: . My amp is a brand new alpine and Im powering 2 10" infinity kappa's. I set up everything and it sounded great. Until I was driving to my gf's house I heard the bass cut down in half. I though that maybe one of the subs had blown. I poppped the trunk and increased the volume ... and the sub was working fine :dunno: I sat back in the car it sounded fine and then 1 minute later cut out again!! What it comes down to is that one of the subs is going off and on , I have checked all the wiring and everything looks ok . I also tried another amp with the same results. Has anyone ever had this problem or have an idea whats going on???

I Had The Same Problem It Was A Bad Rca Cable

you may not have enough power.. you may need to run a cap.. your amp may be clipping causing sub power to be much less

Ok so so far I have changed the rca cables and the same problem was happening , I then used a friends amp and the same thing happend again!
So it would have to be the speaker.
thanks for the help :smilie_da

check your ground, similar thing was happening in my friends car, was caused by a shitty ground cable and a bad connection, if you are connecting it to a painted part clean off the paint

if your protection light goes on the amp (little green light or red i think) it
means your over working you amp the ohm"s of you subs probably dont match that amps capability to produce power check the manuel to see what it works best at( itll say like 400w @ 2 ohms)
