Any interest in etching? Specialized Stainless *PICS*
 

I know for a fact that I will be offering etching as an option when you order products from specializedstainless.com What I want to know, is there a large enough demand for it because if there is, I will offer it sooner than later.

The example below is one way of doing it. This is where the lettering / design will stand out more (the lettering / design is polished, the surrounding material is etched).

The other way of doing it is the opposite of what's shown below. This way will let the lettering / design not stand out as much (the lettering / design is etched and the surrounding material is polished). Personally, I think this way would look better but I only have a photoshop picture of it.

I will offer a couple of etching designs for a set price and then offer custom etching for a quote by case basis.

Depends on the price and the font selection. Id be interested in somthing liek that for my box with a camaro logo.

Ok, now you got me REALLY interested..... and you know you have PMed me before about what I'm planning to do with my engine. I'd be willing to hold off for the pricing on these. I think it's an awesome idea.

what about things for 3.8 v6...checked ur site all i see is for ss....

I'm sorry I only have covers for the LT1 and LS1 right now. I'll try to get some products available for the v6's out there.

Let me think about it, I know I can think of something that will look really good on my car.

Main thing I'm looking for on my car is on the battery cover, a Z28 design. On the fuse box covers, I'd like a nose emblem type design on one, and a Chevy bowtie on the other. That's pretty much what I'm looking for at least....

I think i'd probally get you to do "Camaro RS" on my door sills, depending on the price.

I updated my first post w/ pictures of just etching the design.

It's not ready yet, but if you really want the etching done you can always send the pieces you want done back and I'll etch them for you...

I actually like the second way of doing it better. The photoshop method looks like something I might be interested in the near future.

I'd be interested. A simple bowtie or 71' Style Z28 emblem would be what I'd like to see.
