I work at a Car Star in North bay and we are rated as one of the best shops in town. Where ever you decde to go i would suggest that if you want custom work done ask if they have any experience doing that kind of work or if tey have some photos of their work. At the very least ask if you can view the shop. Clean, well organized, generally means good work. messy, un organized, quality of work usually suffers.

How much are these paint jobs...including some body work?

Its not really the Car Star location that is good, but the painter who works there, so it depends on the exact car star location and feedback from others who have had a good experience. MidTown Car Start in Hamilton Downtown is a thumbs up from me and thats from personal experience.

Short of naming good shops that 'paint' well, the paintjob is only as good as the paint that is used.

You may get a cheap price, but that means that you'll probably get sub-par paint.

Spiess-Hecker's line of paint come highly recommended from a detailer's stand-point. Harder than the average paint, and would resist swirls moreso than the average paint.
