Carpet Color Poll

Alright guys, here's the deal. I finally got paid, so it's time for me to splurge on myself for christmas. (Yeah, I'm horrible) I've been needing new carpeting bad for a long time, so I'm going to buy it now. But, I'm not sure which I want to go with. My interior, as y'all already know and can tell, is NOT meant to look stock. The three main colors I want are red, black, and carbon fiber. The idea that I had would be that I would start with red on the bottom, carbon fiber as the "middle layer" on my interior, and then black as the top items. Now I'm starting to think that black on bottom, with red on top would be a better idea. Here are pictures to see which color each carpet looks like.

just wanted to point out what I meant about the layers. If I do black on the bottom, then the bottom half of my console will be black, the kick panels will be black, the bottom portion of the dash will be black, and the top portion of the dash will be red.

I say just pull the carpet and carbon fiber coat the whole floor board, that will be.... different.

lmao expensive too.

Is their a way you could stripe the carpet or add a design?

That's what a guy on my site wanted to know too. I'm not sure. It definitely would be interesting to see.

Repost pics of your interior... need to see the scheme of where it's going. Then I can decide :D.

But 90% of the interior color right now is going to be changing when I repaint.

Well, I was gonna say black.....but the red carpet in Epic does look pretty sweet.

Either color is going to be better than that light gray.

I voted for black because I have never like red carpet or even a red interior in ANY car.

I'm with Chad. Doing stripes wouldn't be hard, but would add cost. Buy a black carpet (I would assume the outer edges would be black to match seats) buy some red carpet (as long as it's the same thickness and style) cut the red in strips however wide you want them (add an inch or so to make a nice edge later), lay ther black carpet in teh car gluing the edges down, cut the strips out leaving an inch to make an edge, flip the black carpet back and start glueing a little at a time, leave that inch unglued, put the red strip down glueing the 2 inch strips together, glue a foot or 2 of the red down and cut that inch as close to the floor as possible, any gaps fill in with shavings of appropirate color carpet, and continue process accross car.(that's the same method used to cover a speaker box)

:hail: Thank you Grant, I was trying to find these pics all over and I couldn't find it. I really like the red carpet in Grant's car, so no matter what I'm doing red. I probably won't do black stripes, but I'll do black floormats to shake things up a bit.
