Check out my new Berger Panel :)....
Well after three months of work I finally finished it!! God I'm glad to be done :)!
I got the bumper off a 97 Z28 off ebay for about $30 bucks, it was originally black and still had the plastic logo stickers on it... heh heh. Then purchased the supplies Maybe about $50 in paint, $20 in body filler and fiber glass (never used), and another $50 in sand paper. Total was about $150 bucks give or take a dollar or two :(. I then sanded by hand (to get all the old paint and primer off), then body filled it, sanded some more, added more filler, sanded, added more filler, primed it (about five coats), sanded a little more, and finally painted it with satin black paint (about ten coats). I might add clear, but I was in a hurry to see how it looks ;). I've never done body work, and after doing this,... I may never do it again LOL. But I did learn some things, mostly the hard way. Maybe next time I'll use the fiber glass kit I bought but didn't use, lol. Luckily the paint filled in where the filler sunk in. Well without futher ado.. the pics.... The old http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...d/mycamaro.jpg The begining http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...unfinished.jpg The old off the car (notice all the black paint, lol, my wife was pissed for that) http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../oldberger.jpg And the Berger on my car http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1..._outside-6.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1..._outside-7.jpg A close up of my Chevy crome logo http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1..._outside-9.jpg And in case you were wondering what the back window says http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1..._outside-8.jpg An old saying that I've been using for years to describe my driving styl ;). So what do you guys think? Well thats it and I'm tired as hell and need to take a nap :D. Rob |
it would look great if you added a bowtie to teh middle.Fiberglass would have been horrible
Looks great in the pics! The middle is kinda empty though. I would definatly clear coat it brother. Flat black is so over done. :D

Remove the euros......
Berger panel looks good. |
Everything looks great except for the Real Rock sticker on the bumper. The berger panel looks really good though.
i love the way the berger looks, but not feeling the euros. But then again never have. :) Looks really good tho, keep her looking purty.
You know, for how much I ***** about how the berger panel is already old, overplayed, and getting annoying to see hundreds of posts a month about people that have done the berger mod, yours looks really good, which is a lot coming from me.
Looks great man it really does.:)
nice. i would add an old school Z-28 emblem or old school Bowtie to the middle.

the base 1st gens had a blue bowtie in that area it would go with your camaro emblem you have, and euros are for hondas
o, i was gonna ask if it was a Z-28 but saw the tips and figured it was. either way, i think an old school bowtie would look good or an old school RS emblem.
Looks cool man, but how are you gonna get in the trunk if your battery dies? oh well... Its nice, I like it
off topic: I will say I like the euros because I also have the same ones... welcome to the club of 3 people that like those euros: Me, You, and RFF |
nice. The only thing I don't like is the SLP emblem, I think it would look better with just the Chevrolet one.
yea ditch the euros, the panel looks sweet though
