Clear Corner Install

ok so I've heard 2 ways of doing this one being taking the whole front clip off and 2 being going from underneath by taking the splash guards off. How have you guys installed them?

From what I heard, more of the 93-97 people did was take the splash guards off.. Since mines a 02 I went from the top and took out the headlights and did it that way.. So Im not that big of a help when doing this.. Sorry..

Splash guards. Removing the entire bumper on the 93-97 would be... well... retarded. To remove the bumper on our style Camaros (93-97) you have to pop out the push-in anchors in the top, and then under the car unbolt the bumper from the splash guards and remove the splash guards, then unbolt the bumper from the side fenders, and then either unbolt the turn signals or unplug them. If you're already removing the splash guards from the bumper, you might as well just reach up, unbolt the turn signal and take it out...

The bumper has a metal clip that slides over the holes, and on one side of that clip are threads so that when you bolt through the splash guard and into the bumper, the bolt threads into that clip and holds it all together. On my car, the bolt rusted right to the clip, so when I would turn the bolt, it literally would turn the clip and tear the plastic of the bumper. When I changed my bumper, I just grabbed a hacksaw and cut the clips off around the bumper so that the splash guard could come out, then sprayed WD-40 all over the clips to break the rust bond.

Start at the tail lights and loosen everything you can-eventually after a couple of days you will get to the front turn indicators and you can put them in then...or just take the lower splash guards off and do it the easy way-
