Clear corners and tail lights

Hey just wondering were the best place to buy the clear corners and tail lights. I see them on ebay all the time but shiping cost as much as the lights. lol. Is there a better place to buy them or is it going to cost the same no mater what?

Sinister95Z 01-07-2006 05:37 AM

Normally the cost of shipping and the cost of the actual lights combined will still be cheaper than buying them from a company outside of ebay. At least that is what I have found in my own experiences.

I found that to be true as well, when I bought my clear corners from eBay.
I bought mine 2 months ago off eBay, and paid a total of $29.95 which included shipping to my house. The seller's user ID for mine was: "symmic", and the lenses were $16.99 + $12.99 S&H, and they even came with amber bulbs.

yeah i got em from ebay as well man... 28$ somwhere around there sounds right.

NoRiceInside 01-07-2006 11:56 PM

werd. both my camaro and trans am i got em on ebay for less than $30 shipped and all are very high quality.

paarman97maro 01-08-2006 01:45 AM

except i think one of mine has a crack/leak so my bulb burns out. :( damn it

NoRiceInside 01-08-2006 01:55 AM

i had a similar problem. the o-ring around the bulb socket fell out during install and i never noticed. so moisture got in and blew the bulb now the lens is nice and foggy :(

paarman97maro 01-08-2006 02:38 AM

did u ever get it fixed? my right one always has moisture in it, i think it could be a similar reason

NoRiceInside 01-08-2006 12:57 PM

well take the bulb out and look at the socket. there should be some little o-ring around it. i put some silicone around the socket and put it back in, but the moisture is still trapped. i need to get a new one i think :(

paarman97maro 01-08-2006 02:47 PM

yeah im gonna have to do that. I suppose its a little easier in cali at this time of year ;) :(

jtblckmaro 01-08-2006 06:53 PM

pour some alcohol in it then drain it. sucks out the moisture.

NoRiceInside 01-08-2006 08:23 PM

werd? that works? but then what gets the alcohol out? its nearly impossible to completely drain these lenses.

archemedes 01-08-2006 08:31 PM

the alcohol evaporates

NoRiceInside 01-08-2006 08:33 PM

oh yeah it has a lower boiler point that water. cuz i took the lens out and poured out the water and let it sit for an hour or two and it was still there. grrr. well thanks i'll give that a shot.

and what kind? rubbing alcohol or liquor? cuz we dont drink round here and if i ask my dad for one hed gimme the belt
