convertible window

If you've gone to my cardomain page you have probably seen my back window on my top. It looks horrible! anyway i found some 40 gage plastic which is what they use on the top for 13 bucks a yard. I am thinkin about getting it and having my mom stitch it on for me b/c she used to be like a pro at sewing and.......etc. Should I go for it and risk my top since its pretty much **** anyway? Or should i wait till i have like 800 bucks to get a new top. I need your opinion!

Bernotas05 01-31-2006 10:26 PM

I dont know if you trust your mom then go for it, since its temporary until you get a new top

ryann 01-31-2006 10:33 PM

buy a new car. you've only asked 45084905848 questions already. hah jk bro. its all good. i'd let yr. mom do it.

camaro94 02-01-2006 01:10 AM

If i could find a car exactly like mine for cheap enough and in better shape I would get it, convertibles are harder to find for 3rd gens though. lol

Save your money and get a new top ...Then your all set :)

archemedes 02-04-2006 03:12 PM

the new tops are not too great for the 3rd gen (gm didn't build the car that way, and the company that madee the tops went out of business) so might as well have her do it

MeenZ28 02-04-2006 03:39 PM

Hahahaha plastic rear window! Yah if you think she can do it then go for it. Why why does it matter? How often do you have the top up anyway?

lol i know how that is it i had a convertable i would never have to have the top up, i would only have to when it got to freakin hot

blue89vert 02-05-2006 02:02 PM

I only have the top up when its above 90 and below 55. right now its about 20 out and just snowed. And when i do have it up and have to drive it with the top up i can't even see out of the window! I don't drive my car in the winter though
