Front end conversion?

My car is a 1993 and I want to put the '98 and up front end on the car with the SS hood. My question is, do I need to get the fenders of the 98 and up also? Has anyone here done this, and were the mounts the same if you have?

Thanks for the help in advance.

you will need new fenders, along with new headlamps, foglamps, and there may be some more small things, but overall i think its pretty straightforth...i'm not sure though...

by the way, moved it to appropriate section...

Too much $$$, I'll just keep the lame front end with the horrible sealed beam lights...I hate GM for putting those lights on there.

NoRiceInside 01-05-2005 04:02 PM

you can put some silver stars in there on your own you know? You can seal them back up, I had them on my old camaro.

Man i need some lighting too, anything bright enough to go through those smoked headlight covers for the 94 camaros? Since I got those headlights on, I cant see anything....my LED undercar kit is the only real light i have!

well adding some hyperwhite or xenon bulbs isnt going to fix the problem. all it will do is change the color, the light still wont get through. i had the smoke covers on my last camaro. they suck. they had to come off at night.

I have a link with ALL the information you need but I'm at my parent's house right now. When I get home I'll post it.

yep, that's the best thing to do. Just take them off for night driving. I'd never drive with mine on at night. I like to see where I'm going. :lolsign:

There's many different things you can do. There's a conversion kit that you can just replace the bulb and the bulb will screw into the headlight's housing (if I understand the kit correctly, I know no matter what you just buy the bulb tho) You can do the Sylvania Silver Star conversion as I've done (btw, give me 10 minutes I'm going to do a write up in the tutorials section), hyperwhites, the list goes on and on.
