Getting the Camaro painted! DSG or Sebring Silver?
 

Recently I got rearended in Stephanie's Camaro. I just got the insurance check in the mail. I was planning on just repairing any previous flaws and re shooting it the factory Sebring Silver. One of my buddies that works in our body shop did the body work already and is going to paint it next week. Now the decsision is to keep it silver or paint it another color.

I think that it would look bad *** the same color as my Cobra: Dark Shadow Grey.

What do you guys think?

DSG hands down. The silver her car is now is fine but it doesn't even start to compare to the DSG. Plus you won't find as many other cars in that color.

PS - Dont post pics of the Dick Harrell car... it makes me jealous.

Dark Shadow Grey 100%, it looks mean and I've never seen a Camaro painted that color :)

I like the Darker Silver- but only if its done correctly, which knowing how you two are with your cars, it will be...

My pet peeve is seeing a car that is an awesome color to look at until you open the doors and hood and see a totally other color that wasn't covered properly. But with the two silvers I think the contrast might almost go well together assuming the masking is done appropriately and not half-assed

I guess Im the ugly duckling here.. I like the silver myselt. I like the DSG on mustangs, but not on camaros... dunno why, I just think it looks better silver.

yeah they should have 630 i think........but i love the DSG but im not sure on camaros......i think i would go with black

id probably say DSG but its close to me i like both colors but if its a really good paint job then i would go with the darker color

Another no questions asked DSG vote here. Having both cars the same color would look sick sitting in the driveway.

It was pretty much a given once Steph and I talked about it. I just wanted to see what the general publics thoughts were on it.

Now if I could only hurry up and get MY project out of the garage, we can start the engine swap on the Camaro:rolleyes:

Yeah i'm definitley doing DSG, at first I thought of doing black or just keeping it silver, but I love DSG and there is no one else in Port Charlotta with a DSG camaro so it will be different.

Exactly, black looks good and all but you will see a ton of other black Camaro's. This way it'll at least stand out.

+ 1 on the DSG. That color looks bad ***.

Maybe with a mustang color on there it will be faster. lol.

Im really diggin the DSG It looks sweet, I might just like the colors they put on mustangs I was in love with that cobalt blue or whatever they had on the cobras for the longest time, one of my friends had one and I loved it.

The Mustang color might not do it, but the LT1/M6 combo will!

We should have some pics to post later in the week. There are a couple things left to do before it gets put back together.

Steph is very excited about it. The next decision will be, what kind of rims will it get next.......... Maybe some chrome Cobra Rs :nana:

i think theyre were different stages of it, the stage III pushed 600 but idk if it was a dick harrel one
