Need Some Help

Ok paint should be coming soon (in the next month or so) so im going to go ahead and get my new hood at the same time...

i really want the ultra-z hood but its gonna run almost $900 after shipping..

does anyone know anywhere to get the hood for cheaper?

if not how about some other suggestions for what hood would look good..

and maybe some photochops grant

blue89vert 02-01-2006 06:17 PM

what color are you painting it?

paarman97maro 02-01-2006 07:39 PM

I would say dont get the ultra-Z... I just dont like it. Theres a ton of other options out there though.

idk what spoiler you have but i like the ultra z hood on most cars. on dark blue it seems to work really well. what color are you goin with and what kinda spoiler? still have that one off custom spoiler?

2Poor4Z 02-02-2006 02:20 AM

yea.. the car will stay the same mystic teal but im going to add more blue pearl in the clear coat to make it shift colors a little more..

and yea im still running the Z29R prototype spoiler..

if anybody doesnt know what it looks like or what my car looks like then hit up www.cardomain.com/id/ssrcamaro

yeah im with you....not a fan of that one but it would still look pretty cool!

ultra Z would look badass with that color and spoiler, do it!

graphicsgod 02-02-2006 03:19 PM

I rather like the Z hood. I was kinda on the fence about it till I really got a good look at it from some one at the LS1.com forums. Before then I was thinking Cowl. Seems functional and cool. I did a photo chop of what it would look like on my car, and I rather like it. The only thing thats keeping me on the fence, is some people say that the hood quality is ****. So I dunno.

Sorry, but for brand new that seems to be the going price. $735.00 before shipping. The best I can offer is to keep your eyes peeled on ebay for a used one :(. I just saw a ram air going for $350 a min. ago.

find a used one. put wanted ads on all the main sites. good luck. its gonna look sick!

NoRiceInside 02-02-2006 11:01 PM

rob thats not the Z hood...that looks like the mecham.

and i say go with ultra z. take AJs car for example...dark green/teal would be badass. as for where to find it...SLP or eBay. since its a manufacturer specific hood i dont think it will be found as a replica.

i dont like the ultra z hoods on 93-97 camaros only on the 98-02's but thats just me
