Paint/clear question
Alright, so I repainted my interior pieces like last year, but this time I clear coated them (turned out a lot nicer)... My question is this... The armrest piece that flips up.. Its not exactly plastic, its like.. I dunno, rubbery lol. I painted this piece as well, and I wasnt going to, but does anyone think I should clear coat this piece as well? I am hesitant because its not solid... it CAN be moved slightly, so I didnt know if clearing it would be the best idea.
Anyone that has experienced this, or any suggestions/help would be great... Its my final piece to be put back in, so Im gonna wait to see if you guys think I should clear it or not. Thanks in advance. Heres what Im talking about if someone has no idea what Im talking about: http://www.projectcamaro.net/forum/s...hlight=painted |

ANYONE?
|
well since you already painted it there is no sense in not clearing it. what color did you do?
|
I'm not an expert by any means, but I would spray a couple thin coats of clear over it, if it was mine. You're right about it not being solid, but unless you're really diggin your elbow into it, I don't think you should have a problem......plus I'm sure the clear coat would also help protect the paint! JMO Bud ;)
