Painted my caliper today
So, I went to my parents house today and painted my calipers. While I was gone I got a delvery notice too so I think my new rotors are in town now. Hopefully the brake conversion on the rear can be down this week.
There is no valve stem cap on the wheel because some douche keeps stealing them, at least they're only 25 cents each but it still annoys me. Wow.....that turned out sweet my man! Shoot, that looks so good, now I'm gonna have to do mine. :D
Did you get the decal off ebay or Frankers site maybe? |

wow that looks really good dude

Thanks for the compliments. I got the letters from Franker's site, I think it was $10, I got the rear insert from him too. I think the paint I used was VHL brake caliper enamel.

Looks good man

Looks good!

That looks really good! I may just try to get the same paint for mine since the calipers are gonna to have to be darker sometime soon :)
|
The paint is actually made by VHT, not VHL like I had previously posted. I think I was thinking about DHL.
|
what did you use to prep the caliper? I always just bought new calipers and painted them since the metal was fresh and now full of rust and dirt.
|
Brake cleaner and a wire bristle brush.
|
is this a good deal? Where could I get that scotch bright pad from?
