Racing seats

Anyone have racing seats installed? If so what kind and post a picture. I'm considering installing some but can't make up my mind. Also where did you get them and what did you pay. Thanks.

jegs and summit have some that are "jegs"/"summit" brand. they look fairly nice and comfortable. in popular hot rodding they installed them in a camaro and liked them alot. they are like 220 for one i think about. they have a bunch of different colors, only bad thing is you have to figure out how to mount them. heres a link to the jegs ones....http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...19&prmenbr=361

Makato Auto Trends... its not that big of a name brand, but thats where I got my clears from and they sent me a free catalog, and I saw some in there.

the jegs and summit ones are junk, if you plan to drive more than a few miles at a time real racing seats suck (they are not padded well) the typical ones people install are not racing seats they are racing style and have more padding, but are still made on a plastic seat

yea my own co-worker has real racing seats in his neon and my god my *** was compleltly numb after like 5 minutes in that thing.. no pading at all pretty much and 5 point harness = uncomfortable.. but it looks cool...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NETAM...ayphotohosting name brand, respectable, and everyone I've ever talked to have said these specific seats are comfortable.

Thanks. Still looking, really haven't seen anything I like yet that serves both comfort and style. maybe I'll just recover my existing leather seats.

if you buy racing seats for teh looks you need type r stickers to go with them

yea, but you dont want some flashy gay **** with like 4 different colors and a goofy pattern. i think the best looking seats are the Jegs/ Summit ones. all black, plain, but clean and sweet looking. yes they should be comfortable too but it DOES depend how they look when you have a domestic and dotn like LOUD gay colors that dont have any coordination.

seats should be comfortable first, seat covers are cheap. Those jegs seats suck even in a quarter mile they suck (that's what was in the cutlass for a weekend)
