retrofit HID illegal?

im just wondering, if im gonna get a load of cherries behind my ass if i retrofit my HID in a non-projector type housing? i know there's a load of glare and uneven lighting, but it's better than the fake xenon lights that doesnt really shine the road well under wet road.

they are definately not illegal. if so who cares, there are lots of ricers with other gay illegal anyways

they are technically illegal (i use that technically very loosely)... but if the temp range is within that standard white glow... then no cop will stop you (visually it will look the same)

now.. you go into 12000k range.. then you'd look different... ive had friends got stopped by cops for having 14000k xenons.... on oem housing

its actually not better... you will concentrate on the now brighter hotspots and your nightime vision will be reduced, and eye fatigue will be increased.

the other thing you ahve wrong is that on a wet road, HID's are absolutely useless.... the "whiter" the light, the less you will see in wet, or foggy conditions.

yep... all they are good for these HID upgrades is the sensation that they give better light...

i'd love to see any yellow xenons

it isnt a "sensation".... they do give more light, however they MUST be used in conjunction with a proper HID projector otherwise they are a waste of money.
