I polished a set of Plymouth GLH wheels my self. It's a real bitch of a job. There is a place called The Rim Doctor in Kitchener, but I'm not sure about the GTA. If you're familiar with this area, it's on Kingsway drive just off the expressway, and is very easy to find from the 401. Let me know if you want directions, and I'll send em.

Do you still have these wheels? BTW no such thing as "Plymouth GLH" wheels, Dodge Omni GLH but not Plymouth.

how can u polish rims by yourself??

NOTORIOUS VR 09-05-2005 05:22 AM

The same way you would polish any other metal by yourself... slave over it using about 300 different grits of sandpaper... lol

Yeah pretty much. Lots of fine grit, then lots of buffing, then lots more buffing, then lots of beer. Fortunately those wheels were pretty much flat, with about 300 holes in them. Looked great. And yes I still have them. They are going on my new project car. Sold the rabbit, and got a 1994 gti vr6, but also got another rabbit from BC. Going IDRC old school with the rabbit, and going super street with the gti. Hopefully. The gti first though.

My bad. I had a Horizon, and that's what I had them on originally. Then I had them machined to fit my rabbit. When I sold/traded my rabbit, the wheels stayed, and are going on my new rabbit. I love how they turned out, and I'll tell you dodge should have had them polished from the factory. Instead of the blah sandpaper like finish. I'll see if I can find a pic of them to post.

Here is what my rabbit could do to a pair of 205/50r/15 tires in about 6 weeks driving at 10 psi. I didn't even notice until I was getting fuel one day.
