I don't understand what u mean by cheap...

What would be the point to have a cheap place that refinishes wheels? They all chage around the same... and if you want cheap, or if you really are that cheap paint them yourself.

I'm going to refinish my own rims, they aren't "Bling" they are stock rims off of a 1979 camaro berlinetta, I was planning on sand blasting them then painting the recessed parts black and leaving the raised parts unfinished, I have no idea what type of paint to use. This probably didnt help you at all lol

Use a strong paint stripper (also removes the clear coat) on the wheels.

Sand down any blemishes with fine grit sand paper (wet sand if you can).

Prime, and paint them. There is rim specific paint available.

I did mine like that, I have pictures somewhere....

Powdercoating would be the better thing to do for a lasting effect as it won't chip off as easily from road debris.

paint your own.... or sand them and just take them to power coat.... turns out much better

midrange 02-20-2005 09:15 PM

be careful of doing a powder coat though cause the baking process has to be at the right temp or it may warp your rim.....

not at a proper place.. if you have such a weak rim... then you should go throw it out
