Yeah, worked with my stepdad on this one. He's been doing automotive upholstery for ~35 years. :cool: He's owned his own shop for about 20 years. He'd been living in the Orlando, FL area for a while, but he and my mom recently moved up here to the Charleston, SC area. He's getting his feet planted now and is trying to work his way from the used car arena to more custom work. It's like starting all over again now, but the work is rolling in for him.

it is hard to get started in upholstery, since it seems to be mostly a word of mouth type business, trying to get guys to try a new company is a nightmare (my cousin does it in MI and hasn't placed an add in 20 years as he can barely keep up with demand)
