its extremely hard to do. the best guys who have tried it usually take an insane amount of hours doing them, and a few months later they begin to look like garbage. i looked into it a few weeks ago, and seems to me you need to buy the door skins that already have shaved handles, otherwise it compromises the integrity and the peice that is molded in, will never be the same as the rest cause of the changes in temp. and movement of the fiberglass. pretty much its not worth it unless you have the money/time/patience.

where do u buy the door skins ? isnt it hard to change those?

on the 4th gen teh door skin is easy to do since it's just glued on. You can shave them on your door, but you need to know how to do plastic welding (and have teh equipment for it) fiberglass will come off eventually, it's not teh right product for teh job (not to mention the flex from closing will seperate it ) to do the skin you grind off the old one (grind at the edge) then place the new panel exactly where you need it (if it's off all your gaps are off) and use the special glue that comes in what looks like a caulking gun (2 part epoxy) follow label directions make sure and clamp it even so as not to have a ton of high and low spots

the hardest part is usually making them open reliably and having a way to open your doors if your battery is dead

is it just me or did that fast orange guy change his tune after a couple posts? Fiberglass doesn't work for the reasons mentioned (doors flex) the flexor stuff sucks donkey balls (that is what was used at teh factory to hold the panel on, you know the ones that delaminated constantly)
