Anyone have something similar to this for an A4? I really like it and would like to do it for my camaro. Or somethign with my boring shifter anyways :lolsign:

Dont think it would be to hard, just need to find a boot, new shifter? Any ideas

archemedes 03-22-2008 12:40 AM

would the shifter from a grand prix work?

DeLaRosa25 03-22-2008 09:30 AM

not sure..but i really want to do this now haha. The exact same way as the one picture above

I ready on FT6..Theres a "Manual-Auto" shifter you can replace with the OEM one. In order to shift from P,N,D etc. is you have to push down onto the ball to put it in gear? One guy was trying it but los tthe tread :banghead:

I cant really tell on my moms ****** moniter, but is that the trans am shift knob? If so I have that one, and I like it a ton better than the stock one I had one.

I tried one like that... for a day. Found it to be WAY too big and stupid looking. I like the side button idea but it was too big for my tastes.

Zachs96 03-22-2008 07:52 PM

too bad you didnt bid. kick in the ass.
ive always hated the stock auto shifters in f-bodys, look and feel like crap.
get a stick look and feel great. and there was a guy on here selling a t-56
stick is so much more fun to drive, just a thought.

Anyone know anything about the "Manual-A4" converter? Supposingly theres a lil spring and some devise to make the manual ball work...I still cant find it :banghead: I think I would like that better than the t-handle. I seen one a guy used a 05 trailblazer shifter in the camaro..looked sharp :)

That's all MBA's stuff. I wonder if this company took over production when MBA went out of business, they even have the same pictures MBA had when they had their site years ago.

It wasn't MBA it was DMH Performance that made them a few years back. I have one. It was a kit you bought and basically it allowed you to shorten the shifter and put on any manual shift knob you wanted. It is an AMAZING piece of equipment and so many people have tried to buy it from me. His website is dmhperformance.com. The shift knob adapter is no longer listed but you can always email him and see if he has any kicking around or if he'd consider making them again. I'm pretty sure I paid close to $70 for my kit like 5 or 6 years ago. BUT!! My kit was all stainless, you don't see ANY part of the stock **** handle or tube. Its all brushed stainless (or is it aluminum). So the black metal rod part is completely hidden. Anyways, it was WAYYYY nicer that what's on the site above. But hey, for $15 how can ya go wrong!!
Good luck.
Mike
