Stripe question.

I'm just wondering how do you paint stripes on a car? Is their more than one way or not (lets say were doing this to my hood) ? I mean can you mask off an area on the hood then stripe it and replace it with a different color? Or would the best way to do it is to stripe the whole hood, paint it black, mask the stripe off, and then paint the hood white?

both are accepted. You use the blue tape like grant has on epic, mask the car with paper (even teh back) scuff with a red scotchbrite pad, and lay down color (making sure you clean before anything else, and use wax and grease remover at each step)on a first job you'll need to lay a pinstripe to hide the line that forms from a bad tape job, experience will help that

Thanks, I'm getting a paint gun kit for X-mas so I'm getting ready to try all kinds of things.
