Takiing my side moldings off(56k warning?)
Well, I started the task of taking the side moldings off of my car earlier, after hearing that it improves the lines of the car quite a bit.
Fortunatley, they didn't give me too much of a problem coming off. I had a bit of trouble with the adhesive for the two small pieces near the rear wheel, but after some scrubbing, it all came off. There are some small scratches from the edge of the moldings, but i'm hoping a little wax will clear those up. And to anyone thinking about doing this little "mod".... DO IT! It does clean up the side really nice. And now, the pics... http://www.projectcamaro.net/gallery...9/DSC01350.JPG (In progress) http://www.projectcamaro.net/gallery...9/DSC01352.JPG (Rear Section) http://www.projectcamaro.net/gallery...9/DSC01351.JPG And before you ask, yes my mirror is primer colored..:lolsign: The first owner of the car got it taken off in a parking lot, and just never re-painted it. |
Looks good.. Besides all the scraches in the paint..:(
|
yea, she needs to get re-painted after I get her back together from my accident...
I got hit on that side right at the front wheel, and the scratches you see are from a bumper. |

My wife and I are planning on moving to a bigger place this summer. That's when I'll remove mine, I have a very small one car garage right now and I like the protection they give.
