Tint Decision

Ive got a black '99 Integra with black interior.

The shop that Im getting my tint done at has 5% 25% & 35% tint film.
My question is which % should i go with, I judging between 25% or 35%.

Remember car is black already with black interior. Im thinking of getting gold or silver rims in a weeks or two.

If anyone has p[ictures of there tint, post em up'

Thanks :lmao:

forget the tint. The car is already heat just being a teg.. but if you must, go with a the lightest tint, itll look sick with the fog look :fing02:

munch 04-14-2006 01:44 PM

i run 10% on my car now ...nice and dark.....i had 5% on my truck.. holy i couldnt even see to back up....but i like it dark so i say 5% :smilie_da

acbooost 04-14-2006 04:03 PM

Pictures anyone?

mike21 06-30-2006 11:40 PM

I believe the legal limit is 35% in the driver side/passenger windows. I say keep it safe and avoid the hassel. Go 35% all around

goneinsixtyseconds 07-01-2006 12:56 AM

i have 35% on my z right now and it's way too light for the look most people are trying to go for with black tints. i would suggest 20% yes, it's past legal limit, but it's not insanely dark that it'll attract the cops attention, but it's dark enough. if the shop doesn't offer it, than find one that does, there's TONS of tint shops out there, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to install one properly.

oh, in case you want to see how light 35% is, here you go ...

edit ...

if you really want to stick with the shop you know of, than try 25%, it should be just a tad darker than mine, and you probably won't get much harassment from cops off of that, don't go 5%, or else you'll end up in a ditch trying to look at your blind spots or rear at night.

i vote 35% all around

my car is champagne and I did 35% in that dark brown/ bronze color tint, looks really classy IMO

NoSpleeny 07-10-2006 12:06 AM

I had 20% tint before, it was decent. Nobody ever pulled me over and I use to drive a Civic.

I have a different vehicle now and I have 35% tint. It's see through in the daytime and at night, it's dark, it's very nice actually.. like it's classy look.

Apparently the style today is to have people be able to see who's driving the car but yet still maintain a tint. So I think 35% is very popular today.

Anybody recommend a tinting shop that does good work, around the Hamilton area?

Thanks

wolfpacinc 04-17-2007 09:07 PM

yo go with 20% all around u wont be disappointed truss me

AMKK 04-18-2007 07:58 AM

Just remember, these guys don't have to pay your tint ticket. Go with whatever is legal.

Viperoni 04-18-2007 10:07 AM

My buddy got 20% all around on his acura csx, looks good.

With your black interior and black car, I think 35% might be a better choice though.

Ricksta 04-18-2007 10:36 AM

Dude Ive tinted many cars.... and believe it or not i think you should go with the 35%
it'll look dark because of the car and the interior and it gives a whole different appeal rather than 5% an it just being blacked out

Frozentide 04-18-2007 12:08 PM

Stay legal... go with 35%.

boomheadshot 04-25-2007 02:54 PM

go allll the way lol

valentin 04-30-2007 03:35 PM

ive got 20 all around and it looks great. u could see perfectly while ur backing up or looking at the side.

02Civicsedan 06-09-2007 09:18 PM

i would say to go for the 35 because ur car is black and then u got a darker interior...my friend had 20% on a black car nd he always gets harrased by cops...

super_supply 06-12-2007 04:01 PM

Damn im putting 20% on my civic maybe:| uh oh

Nighthawk Lude 06-17-2007 12:30 PM

Tint King

Around the Barrie area there is a Tint King, doing it over 15 years.

flipmode1 09-20-2007 03:10 AM

Personally I'd suggest going with 35% all around. Less likely to be hassled by cops. Easier to see at night. Unless you want a more stealthier look, then go with 25%. I'd say a lighter tint looks better on dark colored cars.

jamzey 05-19-2008 06:45 PM

In Barrie Crystal's has been tinting just as long if not longer. And better prices.

bigwood29 05-22-2008 09:18 PM

Got 30 on the front and 20 on the rest on my Mazda3. Looks great and no hassles by police! Got it done at FX Auto in Markham.

trini 06-03-2008 03:15 AM

25% looks good

Rsx138 06-04-2008 12:19 AM

go 25% on the rear and back sides
35% on the front windows

tricky 06-04-2008 04:59 PM

Go with 35%, that fairlady looks pretty sick!

Are you tintin the wind shield too?
black on black all around would look good

heyyo302 07-18-2008 11:30 AM

35% is excess though it is within tolerrance but do not exceed more than it

Mike_2345 07-27-2008 02:12 AM

go with the 35%....I think the less you get pulled over by the cops the better, so say legal or close enough to it

Supra_RZ 07-27-2008 02:43 AM

on the civic i have .... it's 35% at the front and 20% at the back.
keep in mind that the windows in the front (windsheild, drivers window, passengers window next to the driver) has to have a clear view into the car so an officer can see.... as for the rest of the car you can make it 5% .

jimmyhands 11-11-2008 10:55 AM

35% is the legal limit for the front windows. the nicest look i think is 35% all around, so it all looks the same. otherwise, you can go with 35% on the front and 20% on the back and rear. 5% is tough to see out of. I used to have it on an old civic. I went to Tint Guys at Highway 400 and Highway 7.

bigjohn12334 01-02-2009 10:46 AM

I got 35% on the front and 20% on the back of a mazda3. Looks good if you ask me.
Stay legal man.
