Worth a shot.. is there shop that cleans+oil engines?

This is worth the shot. Please don't flame me :dunno:

My car has been running for a while now and my engine has gotten dusty. I need to know if theres a shop somewhere here in the GTA where I can bring it in and get the pro's to wash, clean and oil it back up so it be shiny and looking new :veryhappy

I know you can do it yourself but I don't have the time to do it. Anyways anyone know a place where I can do this? and also at a good cost of course.

Thanks

It would take you more time to bring your car there to get it done then if you just did it yourself. However i am sure you are looking for somewhere local ? or just generally in the gta?

yes i'm looking for somewhere local and especially in the GTA. But our of curious... how do you clean the engine? and then oil it back up? I'm confused about that.

What do you mean oil it back up? Change the oil? Because if youre talking about spraying the engine down with oil so its shiny, that will only last until you start the car and drive it, and then all that oil will burn and make your engine look like .

To wash the engine, just buy a spray can of Gunk or some simple green, spray it on the dirty spots, and then hose it out with the garden hose, being careful not to spray the distributor, air box or throttle. Also make sure you dont get engine degreaser on the paint, if you do its not a huge deal, just make sure to spray it off right away, otherwise it will probably eat through.

If your engine is really dirty, use a rag with degreaser on it and rub out the dirt, but again if youre cleaning painted areas make sure to hose it off as soon as possible, you dont want degreaser sitting on the paint.

Oh and make sure the engine is cold, dont spray water on a hot engine.

Lot of shops does this kinda job....give Krown Lakeshore a call...

wow you can just hose down the engine.. interesting.. but i'll give it a shot. I heard from a pal that you should cover up the important part of the engine as mentioned by bobjohnson. Thanks guys and i'll look into krown lakeshore and see if i can get a quote.
