hondata isn't a standalone, its a ROM editor that works with an OEM ecu....a standalone is a completely different (then OEM) ecu.
Free bump nonetheless. |

Free bump nonetheless. I'm pretty sure the s300 is a full standalone. you tune in realtime with a laptop. |
I'm guaranteeing you that the s300 is NOT a full standalone. Just b/c you tune real-time with a laptop doesn't mean its a standalone. You tune with a laptop with greddy emanage and thats just a piggyback, you tune real-time with crome, Neptune, eCtune and they're definately NOT standalone systems....they (along with hondata) are just ROM editors, they edit the stock code and use the stock ECU.
A standalone engine management system is one that eliminates the OEM ecu and uses its own ECU and its own code. AEM EMS, Haltech, Motech, FAST are standalone engine management systems....Hondata is NOT. Hondata has a lot of similar features that a standalone system has, but the simple fact that it uses the OEM ecu makes it not a standalone. Anyways, thats a wicked price IMO for what you're selling. |
