As long as your guy can mandrel bend 3" pipe you should be fine...but if he can't then I would just buy the kit.

The pipe is the main part you need, the rest of it is just little hangers and clamps that just about anyone can do.

Loud mouths sweet, but i wouldnt recommend it with headers....
