As you can see the body is in a really good condition, the car overall looked really nice, he says that it runs and drives really good. Post here for a meet, serious drivers only, 50th addition.

Could I get some more info? year? milage? cert? etest?

iced-nmt 02-17-2005 06:35 PM

Hey, I'm the one selling the car...

The car has 194,000km on it, all original, definitley not rolled back. Clean title, body is in great shape.

Some history on it:

Purchased originally in 1984 by a friend of a friend's dad. He had it for the first 14-15 years of it's life. The past 6-7 years, my buddy's dad had it. He drove it once a week in the summer to baseball practice... I acquired it a little while back.

This car is #28 of 5,000 made. There are approximately 1,500 left in the world. Mark McGuire actually took this car for a test drive a couple summers ago, lol. It is in really condition, there is one minor rust spot, it is where the fuel door is. It wouldn't open so I had to pry it open. It opens and closes fine now. The tranny still feels crisp, the engine still has balls. As I said, only 194,000km on the car. If you are seriously interested in it, I can probably let you have a test drive, although the permit has expired...

The engine is a 3.0L turbo making 200hp @ 6.7psi. The non-turbo version fo the engine made 160hp, just for the record. This car has a huge list of features, too long to write here. You can google it. Search for 1984 300ZX Tubrbo 50th Anniversary.

I love this car, I will say that much. The only reason I am selling it right now is because I could use the funds. If it doesn't sell by around April, I am just going to keep it. Everything on the car is original. The passenger side leather seat has a tear in it. It can be re-upholstered, no big deal. It has a black and silver car cover on it right now, doesn't even look too bad as it is.

The underbody does have rust on it though, that is expected with a 21 year old car. The actual body panels and whatnot are clean, as mentioned previously. Power everything, it all works. The motor for the windshield wipers is gone though, either that or a fuse. No big deal, even if it is the motor, you can find one at a junkyard for like 20-25$ or so...

So yeah, if anybody is interested, drop me a line at icednmt@hotmail.com. I don't come on here too often, so it would be best if you contact me there. If you wish to give me a call, the number is 416-569-1339. My name is Faris, like Ferris Beuler's Day Off.

Thanks for looking.

*EDIT* Forgot to mention, it's a 1984... 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition, the full name. It does not need to be E-Tested as it is considered an antique. Couple years back though, it was tested, and passed with flying colors. I can get it safetied and everything too, no biggie. Asking $3,000 as mentioned above.

You don't see many of these cars around, even here in Japan. They are bloody rare. Good luck on the sale. :thumbsup

Thank you :D

As I mentioned, they are rare indeed.

#28 of 5,000 built, and there are only about 1,500 left in the world right now.

It was destined to be a collector's car from the start.

I saw one of these in decent shape with 73,000km on it go for 13,000$

If I was to find one here in Japan (RHD) with under 70000 km, what do you think it would sell for in CDN $ ?

iced-nmt 02-17-2005 07:50 PM

You could probably get that 13,000$ easily... It's like a piece of history, made in Japan, for Japan. If it is fully restored and all, find the proper buyer and you can probably get close to 20,000$.

I can't say anything more though. For all I know my figures are all wrong...

I believe I said this earlier, if it doesn't go by the summer, I'll keep it.

JorjeM 02-23-2005 08:06 PM

iced-nmt 02-23-2005 11:48 PM

icednmt@hotmail.com

Clean title?

Any service records at all?

Anything I should know about it?

I do understand that mine is more of a collector's item, but I have always loved the rotaries from Mazda. The 2nd gen might be just what I am looking for to add to my arsenal...

*EDIT* Hold on... I don't believe they made GXLs in 1989 did they?

JorjeM 02-24-2005 12:21 AM

hey my best friend owns a shop and all they work on are rotaries, hes got a 500hp rx7 and iv been around rotaries for 2 years now. i have taken very good care of the car. GXL's were made all thru out the 2nd gen (FC) 86-91.
the car has 318 000km on chasis, i bought it from a good friend who had it since 98. he put a new engine in it June 00'. Mazda Dealership in St.Catherines did it. he put it on at 240 000KM. it is in great shape inside and out. it has a little rust on the passenger fender. interior is in great shape. I put on Racing Beat headers and he made 2 1/4' piping from header to single exhuast. Car is the loudest thing on the street. If you dont like loud i still got the silencer for it. theres nothing you should know about the car, everything is fine with it. If you want some pics sent send me an email at jorjemartinovic@hotmail.com

Humm... Perhaps, I'm thinking of keeping it more and more for the summer though, such a chilling car for me and my girlfriend.

But anyways, if you want, post your offer here or PM me with your offer, I'll see what I can do on the price...

iced-nmt 03-03-2005 06:11 PM

These cars in mint condition can fetch near $15,000.

Here are some of the bad things about it...

There is typical Nissan rust on the chassis. It is still fixable, it isn't too late.

There is a tear in the passenger side seat, at the bottom. It's no big deal, get it re-upholstered for like 30$ or something.

Windshield wiper motor is either burnt out, or the fuse for it is. I know there is a blown 15A fuse in the fuse box, I checked it yesterday, as I do not have the owner's manual, I can only guess it is the fuse. I only found out yesterday and I didn't have any spare 15A fuses so I didn't replace it. Soon as I do, and if it is confirmed that it is in fact the wiper motor's fuse, I will post it here.

There is some rust on the body, VERY minor rust. I was planning on having the car brought to Nissan to get me a quote to have it re-painted if they can still match that color combo, if not, I have a few good shops that can do it as well.

Everything else in the car works, the car is in AMAZING mechanical condition, the engine is smooth, the clutch it fine, the transmission is fine as well. I recently fixed the air conditioner to have it prepared for the summer. It still blows cold air so that's cool. 194,000 original KM's on the engine and chassis.

Not that this is of any importance, but I still have the protective covers/ bags for the two halves of the T-Roof. These are pretty rare because most people seem to lose them upon the purchase of the vehicle.

Just to re-mention it... This is #28 of 5,000 built, with approximately 1,500 left in the world.

I'm also looking for any interesting trades... Preferably a 2-door 2 seater like a 2nd gen RX7... PM me or post here if interested.
