Appraised at: $23,500.00 CAD (Antique & Classic Auto Appraisal Service)
This car won Best Nissan and Best JDM at Performance World Car Show in February 2005.
It was imported in November of 2004, and was the first legal GTR in Ontario.

The car is being sold certified and emissions tested.
It is currently fully registered and legal for road use in the Province of Ontario. Out of province bidders please check with local Ministry of Transportation offices before bidding.
Buyer will be provided with all information needed to maintain the vehicle (list of part numbers, etc).

To the best of my knowledge, this car is not legal for street use in the USA. However, I believe that you can import it for show and track purposes. Please check with the DMV or NHTSA if you are interested in the car.

I am asking $19,000 CAD or best offer

"For Sale" type pictures are listed below, for some "artsy" ones you can check out my CarDomain site.

I got some money, but not enough. I'd have to finance this baby in September. It's my dream car, and you modded it just the way I wanted to myself. :) ... BUMP.

Most insurance companies don't even insure this car, and if they do, they will do so under a similar Nissan's rates. I know a guy who owns a GT-R and has it insured as a Sentra under TD Canada Trust. A few companies such as Johnson recognize the Skyline as its own vehicle and have relatively cheap rates for the whole lineup, including the GT-R. We're talking $550 CAD a month for a 17-year-old with only a G2 license and insurance certificate ... now, THAT is CHEAP. The reason for this is because the Skyline does not have ANY accident or theft history in Canada unlike other sports cars; that is why people usually fear the insurance costs of sports cars, not knowing that the insurance companies base their rates on the accident and theft history of that car, not its raw horsepower or handling capabilities. Moreover, there are not many cars like the Skyline that don't have a history with the insurance companies here in Canada, but if you are smart and looking for something from Japan, you can find yourself some serious bargains. :) ...

Of course, if your 'Line has the list of mods this one has, you will be blowing by M3s everyday and paying half the insurance they do, and depending on how much boost you're running, you will get pretty close gas mileage to them as well. Again, I'd be a great candidate for this car, 'cause I know so much about it, have great connections in the import business, and would be able to maintain it properly. However, I am still trying to get my cash together.

BUMP.

I've found the opposite, that most insurance companies WILL insure the car. Especially now that the MTO will assign you a Canadian VIN.

semendemon 07-17-2006 08:34 PM

Well, that information applies to when I was in the market for a GTS-4 in early 2004. You would expect things to have changed quite a bit since then, and thankfully, they have. So, yah, although most insurance companies insure you now, their rates should still be pretty cheap.

NiTeRiDeR 07-20-2006 10:18 PM

Bump, still available, open to reasonable offerce.
