12 second car
I have a 94 Z28 with a erbuilt motor...LT4 hot cam kit with the roller rockers and valve springs...ported heads...mid length headers, flowmaster exhaust, dyno tuned, and the car has been lowered. My buddy says i wont get anywhere near 12's and i say that i will get into high 12's..so we have a 50 dollar bet now...who do u think will win?
if dyno tuned what's the power your putting out? I think your going to be just off the 12's
its possible if you hook up really good
I would say high 12 or low 13 depending on suspension it makes a BIG difference.
Hope that your car hooks and go balls out
dont race with ANYTHING except drag radials on the back, and is it auto or stick? and if auto is it stalled? either way thats good for a mid 12 or so depending of coarse on all the factors.
i ran it tonight and my best run was a 13.40 or 41 i cant remember and the slip is in the car. it puts 325 to the rear wheels. i have lowered the car and that is all the suspension that i have done to it. i hooked really good tonight it never spun once. it is an auto with stock stall, and that is my next investment any suggestions on a stall?
3200 stall and a shiftkit with a trans cooler. what was your trap speed and also your 60' those will aid alot in telling how fast you could go. my car does 14.2 at 101 tho, so i need to launch better, ill bet your trap was up around 103 or so at least.

Just because it didn't spin doesn't mean you are getting a good launch- if you post your 60' and MPH like Matt said it will help a lot in reassuring you that your car has a 12 run in it.
A perfect driver with a properly set-up car can get 12's with relatively low power. CHP took a bone-stock Z to almost flat 13's without lifting a valve cover. Stall, shiftkit MAYBE- it would be better actually to get your shift points adjusted to your torque and horse numbers than just slappin in a shift kit, you'll just burn up a good trans. Set-up some 3.23's or 3.42's and it will help a lot as well. As for suspension, a lowered car is terrible for the track. The springs don't allow for the proper weight transfer when you are trying to get horsepower to the ground. Swap them out for a set of drag springs, lose the front sway bar and you will see a huge improvement in your 60' time, assuming you have the tires to stick- |
well im at school right now, i will post the times when i get home
