paarman97maro 05-18-2007 08:37 PM

you hold down your brakes and give it gas... for autos.

Not really sure how you do it in a stick

FrYd-RyS 05-18-2007 08:38 PM

If you're an auto- Neutral dump it from high rpm

Manual - You just dump the clutch

In a v6, its harder than it sounds.

ahh ok i do that but it wont sit in one spot forever..also it sits at redline should i shift or let it sit there

Oh. Thats pretty much not gonna happen on a stock v6. You're going to have to keep the rpm's so high, it'll be kinda dangerous.

gotcha what about with new gears, exhaust and headers

Ive done it a couple times, My friend in his saturn wanted to race one night so I did for ***** and giggles, My car was peeling out after I got onto it once I caught traction I left him. Having wider tires makes it easier, I also did a burnout once in place when the car was stock.......was a one tire peel out to remember.

I used to do brake stands all the time when I used to have my 3.8 firebird, left rear tire would be almost brand new and the right rear would be bald gotta love the one leggers hahaha
