NoRiceInside 11-28-2005 12:32 AM

how some of us guys mounted our turbo? if we had turbos we'd probably mount them in front of the engine if its a V6 or where the battery and/or the air clearner is if its a v8.

paarman97maro 11-28-2005 12:55 AM

KenDawg 12-06-2005 10:31 AM

its for 98+ 3.8 btw

paarman97maro 12-06-2005 12:02 PM

Weak.. I would have been interested, but too bad its 98+ :(

TorqueDog 12-07-2005 02:33 PM

The FFF kit is NOT year specific. If you buy an LT1 kit, it will fit all LT1 F-Bodies. If you buy an LS1 kit, it will fit all LS1 F-Bodies. If you buy a 3800SII kit, it will fit all 3800SII F-Bodies.

...and that's the way it is, mang.

paarman97maro 12-07-2005 02:47 PM

With some cheese on it.

TorqueDog 12-07-2005 06:16 PM

Boost and dairy products are an incompatible combination.

you could not be more wrong

1. 1995-1999 year car have crap tastic log mani's that flow like ***
2. 1995-1998 year cars have angle TB
3. 1999 year has striaght TB but no drive by wire
4. 2000-2000 have better flowing manis (what tiagos kit was made to fit) straight TB and Drive by wire

look in my sig where i mounted my turbo and look at my site for all kinds of info too

TorqueDog 12-12-2005 10:52 PM

My bad, but the site does not say that the kit is year specific whatsoever.

Having said that, it's a very minute cost to have the kit modified to fit.

with todays welders a monkey can weld. The thing is not everyone wants to make stuff work, they want to bolt it on and let someone else make it work (aka tuner) nothing wrong with it, but it is the slowest way to go, and usually the most expensive (not to mention least educational)

2Poor4Z 12-18-2005 05:19 PM

def with arch on that one.. as far as making things work go..

now man, not to down you at all because i havent been around here alot lately and i dont think you have either, but you sound like your new to this, and sort of an amateur..

a turbo on our cars is not somethign easy to come by..

viper and tiago have spent years on there cars building their setups custom..

now tiago sells one over at FFF but its gonan cost ya.. saving money you will have to do considering the base kit hits somewhere just over $3000 i think.. which doesnt include any form of tunning that im aware of..

also, you need to save an extra $500-$1000 before even starting this project for miscelaneous failures and repaires.. even with only 47k miles on it, and as strong as our motors are, some basic things will probably have to be replaced.. and anytime you add that much more power to a motor you need to have some extra cash laying around in case something goes wrong... the last thing you want to do is go and save up for a turbo kit, get it installed, and 2 weeks later have your car sitting in your garage needing repairs and you not having any money.. im not saying its going to blow up but anytime you start adding that much power its a possibility for things to go wrong..

Piping and fittings, as far as I know.

Why'd he stop kit production? Not enough interest?

paarman97maro 12-23-2005 12:21 AM

2000v6cam 12-27-2005 02:04 AM

SOMBirdV6 01-01-2006 10:28 PM

I have been hearing and talkin to tiago about what hes doing seems very interesting to me.

paarman97maro 01-01-2006 10:34 PM

do you know anything about the price? more or less?

Mike Jones 01-01-2006 10:35 PM

Have you guys seen his new twin turbo kit he built for his Trans Am? That thing is insane, he used 6.0 liter truck manifolds put on backwards for that setup.

Here's a picture of his setup.

http://www.force-fed-fabrications.co...A/P1010014.JPG

He has the type of car collection I really want. - His list of cars.

94 Turbo Firebird V6 336 rwhp/400 rwtq
94 Trans Am LT1 - Full Bolt Ons.
98 Camaro V6 - Stock
99 Twin Turbo LS1 Trans Am
03 Corvette Z06 STOCK
