3.8l lumina flood damage? need knowledge

I am a newbie to this site and a driveway wrench turner.

1999 3800 series Chev Lumina 310,000km. I killed her in a big BIG puddle. She is dead. Now I have the opportunity to purchase a 95 Lumina 3.1 Cheap.
I like that I can switch over the seats, any pannels, lights etc.

I am asking what engine parts I should keep that would be interchangeable.

I belive the ignition coils are the same , I'll keep the battery,
alternator?
water pump?
power steering?
wires?
plugs?
what about brake parts, calipers?
master cylinder?

I just put on new gas tank and pricey sending unit that I dont think will fit....if anybody is interested.

I am new to this posting questions business b utreally need the help.
Thanks Mike

Good day from the flatlands Mike. your coils should be the same but the ingnition module is different .water pump & power steering is different if i remember correctly, the wires should work but the lengths maybe different but that shouldn't matter brake parts alot of these cars came with different rim options 15 or 16" .the calipers should inter change as may the discs, the master cylinder may also fit but is either abs and some of the newer generation abs wouldn't work with the old. These newer cars don't interchange like the older rear wheel drive but what i do is phone parts sourse and ask if this will work or not .Out here they are very good on things like that . Any way hope this doesn't confuse u 2 much & have a good one. Later bake
