4th gen Z28 gauges
 

From 93-96 all z28s had 150 speedos right? I know Epic does. I knwo Cassi's does. Jimmy's doesn't. Still has 110. But the vin proves it's a true z and not a swap. If i'm wrong someone let me and Jimmy know. Cause his new car has got both of us corn-fused :p

verts have a 110 stock. there was an option in some to have a 150.

The 110 was for the autocross Z28's. If he buys a 150 speedo it'll be a strait swap unlike the V6 guys that try to put 150 speedo's in their cars.

I always thought he 1LE was the autocross version. :confused:

It was part of the performance package on the Z28's. When you upgraded to the Z-rated tires you got the 150 speedo.

Jimmy- Look on your door panel- I am willing to bet that it says 245/50R16 tires, either S or T speed rated.

Thats the difference- I believe those cars are also governed as well.

what do you mean by that? isnt swapping a 110 for a 150 straightforth on the 6?

I think the computer has to be recalibrated.

So some Z28's have 110 spedos? And how do you tell if your car is goverened w/ topping it out?

All car's are goverened just at different speeds. I've topped my Camaro out once when some loser in a Fiero was trying act like his car was fast on the highway.

whats weird is i topped mine out at the 115 that my speedo maxes out at, yet i hear my car is governed at 108...creepy?

speedo's aren't accurate at high speeds on 6's i know, not sure on 8's if they are or not.
