93 v6 trouble

alright my 93 v6 3.4 liter is having a little bit of trouble and i have no clue what it is, but some people i know say theyve heard of it alot with my model.

ok heres whats happenes
1. wheni start it i have to turn they key then keep foot on gas to stop from stallling for a few mins til it warms up (someone told me its just cold sensitive but id rather be sure then sorry)

2. when im driving and i come to a stop my car will start to stall like its missing when it drops gears. i have to hold in brake and gas to keep it from staliing and not rolling foward.

3. during the summer these problems were less commmon so it is making me lean toward the cold weather and once my car has been driving for liek 30 mins it goes away.

if anyone knows anything about how to fix this please help cause i have no clue:banghead:

umm i had something like this happen to me once mine is a 94 3.4 and when it happened to me it was right after my car wouldn't start. After shaking the living hell out of my battery the car started then exactly what you described happened. all i know is that after i switched batteries it never did it again i dont think that is what fixed it but i don't know what else would of

That could be alot of things. But from what your describing as it 'goes away' when it gets warmer, I would rule out a fuel filter. Im leaning towards a thermostat, but I really dont know. It 'going away' when its warmer makes it alot harder to diagnose.

umm if it helps you phate that same time it happened to me was one of the many times i have had heating problems so around that time i probably had a new thermosdat i dunno just sayin

Im thinking either idle air control sensor, or maybe a vaccum leak.

you talking like a PCV valve leak cause i checked mine so if that's the case i would go with that idle air control sensor
