94 Z28 Transmission Swap!
 

Ive read other guys putting 350s or 400 transmission in there camaros. My question is if the computer is hooked to the trans do they just unplug it, Or do they mess with the computer? I have a 94 Z28 with a the transmission going bad, I also have a new 350 trans w/converter sitting on the floor.
Also has any one ever done the swap?

I think painfull performance makes a kit for it, the ecm will trigger a code, and may put the engine into limp home mode

You could always just try and get an ECM from a t-56 car and just tune the computer to not try and engage the CAGS system. In doin that the computer will never try and operate the transmission.

You are going to have issues such as your speedo won't work either. There are kits for conversions. Check these guys out. They kinda wrote the book on f body tranny conversions and can answer any question you might have..
