Are there any vacuume lines? My 72 chevelle had vacuume lines to control the flapper.

seems like the second gens had a solinoid. I don't remember ever seeing one on a third gen though.

i hear tat they are very rare but there are 3 wires that come off the electric motor the guy said that they go into the distributor and run off of the rpms but i have no idea where they would splice in. im thinking of running it off of a switch just incase i get stuck in the rain so im not sucking in waterbut i like the reving with the hood opening

Ok, that hood... really? Those things were actually functional? To be honest, seems like it'd be a waste fo time to get that thing to work again. How much intake could that actually provide? Seems like another failed GM inovation to me.

archemedes 09-25-2006 01:19 AM

it should be better than the later ones where the openig was in teh very front of the hood since that is a low pressure area
