Chevy jump-started the 1991 model year by re-introducing the Z28 in the spring of 1990. Sure, the '91 Z28 got a tall rear wing, new lower body cladding, new phony hood scoops and new five-spoke wheels, but it was otherwise still an IROC and now the top engine was a 245 horsepower 5.7-liter TPI V8. All other '91 Camaros were pretty much '90 Camaros with revised ground effects that featured fake air inlets.

Law enforcement got its own Camaro in 1991 with the introduction of the Camaro B4C pursuit vehicle. Basically, a B4C was a Z28 that was badged as an RS and equipped with most of the good stuff developed for the 1LE race package. Very few B4Cs were ever produced.

With an all-new Camaro coming for 1993, the 1992 model was barely changed from '91. The big change was that they all sported a "25th Anniversary" badge on their instrument panels. Further, a $175 "Heritage Package" of stripes was offered for any '92 Camaro.

yea nvrmind i found it out http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camar...pecs&year=1992 theres the engine specs for ne one w/ a 3rd gen camaro.

go to www.thirdgen.org and go to the tech page or w/e its called maybe specs, idk but it has like every number and stat on camaro engines/trans and whatnot. your RS is prolly at around 150 right now cause it was 170 stock. my old car wasnt that fast but ill tell you if you tried, and did a break torque, with those shitty rear drums you can smoke that right rear like ghetto!lol

ryann 06-01-2005 10:55 PM

lol..well it puts out a lil more than 170 right now b/c we bought it from some college kid who put an exhaust and chip in it. but my plans for this summer are

aluminum intake
throttle body spacer
cam,lifters,rocker arms-rollers
port and polish-bore out heads
chip-already have
headers
exhaust-already have
tranny

ne other suggestions?

it also looks like between the 305 z28 engine compared to the RS 305 was the cam. You got 230 hp from it vise 170 from the RS. The engine bore stroke was the same and everything. so wht was the big diff. between the two?..was it the cam?

archemedes 06-01-2005 11:08 PM

cam and intake, teh rs was a throttle body the z was tpi

69z-28 06-01-2005 11:21 PM

yep, cam was prolly a little differnt, depends on year too and weather or not the car is stick or auto but then the TPI will boost the power stock. with that TBI you will be fine for basic bolt on stuff and you can even get a kit to flow more cfm and whatnot. look on Ebay if you want to do stuff with the actual TBI, other than that, chip, exhaust, cam and whatnot will really help it out. dont forget to get a custom tune also, that will realy keep it all together.

they don't do custom tunes on the obd1 computers that's what the chip does

69z-28 06-02-2005 07:56 AM

i meant a custom burned chip. not a tune. but yea still, its gona need to be burned by someone who can burn chips.

ryann 06-02-2005 12:55 PM
