B&M SHIFT IMPROVER

Yes i was just thinking about getting a b&m shift improver, for my 4l60e transmission, and i was just wondering if u guys were familiar with it, does it help, how hard is it to put it, and ne thing else about it, thanx....

archemedes 11-22-2004 11:12 PM

don't do it unless you buy a new trans to replace the one the b&m will destroy, most trans shops won't install any b&m kit they are using transgo

NoRiceInside 11-22-2004 11:23 PM

yeah thats always the way to go. the answer is always a transgo

FORCE_FED_Z 11-22-2004 11:46 PM

Depends on what you are lookin for and how much you wanna spend...

Dang, if it was a 94 or 95 their would be a shift kit already built into the car. IMO go for the transglo or use a Hypertech programmer.

1BADZ 11-23-2004 12:15 AM

kewl, i considered a hyperwertech programmer, bc were i work at advance auto parts i can get 20% of off one, which i can get it around 2 hundred and something dolalrs, but what all can u do with them, and how much do they help considering i have headers, exhuast, k&n intake, and march underdruve pulley..... THANX FOR HELPING ME BRO.

NoRiceInside 11-23-2004 12:18 AM

My car shifts like a mofo but it was like that when i got it so im guessing i have some sort of shift improver but idk

NoRiceInside 11-23-2004 07:12 PM

my "clutch" slips on mine. its an auto and right before it shifts the rpms jump up a bit real quick then it shifts and they drop again. it doesnt happen from 1st to 2nd...only from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. my guess could be the "clutch" or bands...or whatever automatics have...is slipping and i might need a new servo or something...i dont know much about autos...
