Not when you have to fix the previous owners mistakes. :( I wouldn't want to buy a car with any internal work done without tearing it down and putting it back together.

I take it one step further. I will never buy a car that has any modifications to it. If a car has been modified you don't know who did it, if they did it right, and more than likely the car has been beat on. More times than not you buy someone else's problem.
When I decided it was time for a new car I looked at a couple stroked and blown LT1's and some cammed LS1's but decided against it and went with a low milage, stock, in great condition LS1 and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I've gotten to build the car just the way I like it and not the way someone else did.

I always look at modded cars as buying someone elses problems.

i always want to get a stock vehicle from here on out i learned the hard way on my camaro it was definatly not worth what i paid for it

A-RoN'sZ 07-20-2007 01:16 AM

Yeah I saw a supercharged LT1 when I was looking for an LS1 that looked , and was around the same price w/ similar mileage, but I then asked myself the question...why is he getting rid of it, if it is built so bullet-proof and powerful? So I did the same as Chad found a clean decently low mileage (for my area) that was completely stock and I have had no probs so far.

wow dude that whole thing sucks i havent been on in a little while, but good thing ur ok and good luck finding another f body but i never buy a modded car i did one time and all it gave me were problems

blue89vert 07-20-2007 01:46 AM

thats another plus about the formula. it has never been modified at all. i looked at everything on it

A-RoN'sZ 07-20-2007 01:55 AM

no mods is usually an indicator of minimal abuse, but I say usually. I just view a pre-modded car as someone else's problem that has probably been hounded.

I bought mine pre modded and suffered haha.. Since the tranny went out. Other than that it runs great.
