I recently had a bad coil and after i put the new one on the engine went off and the turned on again this time it said my cat was below threshold in bank one. Does anyone know what causes this problem because last year this happen and i replaced my cat. do i need to replace it again our is there something else causing this situation.

Sounds like something is ruining your cats.. but the cats being stopped up only rarely make a car not run.

if the cats are getting plugged extremely bad then that could happen but i doubt it. i say gut the cats

I dont know your emissions standards there, So I cant tell you for sure. But if you throw a code from the o2 sensor, I doubt you'll pass. There is a 50/50 chance.
