Charcoal Canister

Hi, wanted to ask if somebody could tell me where the charcoal canister hoses go or come from, i put a post months ago cause theres is a strong gas odor inside the car and at the back of the car. I replaced the canister and the tank cap already but the problem continues so i want to check the hoses and conections, preferably without taking the tank out. Thankx for your advice.

isn't there a line under the back seat?

the EVAP line runs from the front drivers fender and under the drivers side rocker panel then up over the axle to the canister which is behind the drivers rear quarter panel. accesible without removing the tank. however is the vent line from the tank to the canister is loose, yeah youre gonna have to drop the tank :)

You can cut the in the hatch area to get at the top of the tank, but if there are fumes I wouldnt' recommend it.

Dropping the tank and doing the trap door in the hatch are the only ways to get at those fittings. A local garage should be able to do a smoke test for you to see where your evap system is leaking for sure though.
