Check engine soon light... flashing?

It's been on for a while now, even before the tranny install. But since i got her back - it flashs every once and a while. It'll stay on soild most of the time but every so often it'll flash. Why? I'm going to disconnect the battery and reconnect (hard start the system) see if it goes away. If that doesnt work I'll just have a shop reset the light see if it comes back. But I've never seen it flash. Any idea why she'd do that?

Misfireing.... huh. Time to check those plugs and wires. I'll have Autozone check the code. I'll bet you dollars to donuts its those plugs I bought failing on me. Misfireing isn't a HUGE deal is it?

my buddys Transam is misfiring not real bad but its annoying

NoRiceInside 02-28-2007 01:38 PM

well if you let it go a week or two with flashing like that, it will damage your cats. i can already feel my power going bye bye. i think its gonna be time to gut my cats...

whats not making sense is i had a code for misfire cylinder 1 and too lean on bank 1. if #1 is misfiring it should be rich on bank 1, not lean.

a bad cat will cause it too (gp just went through it)
