Or should I just get a Energy Suspension Master Bushing kit?

niceroc 03-31-2006 05:32 PM

id say the bushing kit, and prolly some kyb shocks and struts

Autozone shocks go bad real quick-they're that cheap for a reason..

kyb then?

Since you are not going too crazy with the suspension, I would suggest either KYB or Bilstien. Both are really good shocks. Also don't forget to add LCA relocation brackets to your list.

I had those on there but took them off b/c I am not a good welder yet and they don't have a bolt in kit.

hows this for a start? If you can't tell I got Monroe Sensa Trac shocks. A guy at Van Senus said those were good ones.

Sinister95Z 04-01-2006 05:19 PM

Those relocation brackets are pretty much a requirement if you want to stop the wheel hop and get the power to the ground. Since you are not a good welder, have someone else who is a good welder put them on for you. You will regret it if you don't. Hopefully you don't go cheap on the rest of the suspension like you did on the shocks.

blue89vert 04-01-2006 07:55 PM

for the money those shocks are great. Plus I would have had to pay 3 times more for each other shock if I got KYB

if your worried about monay i know you can get the iroc sway bars and springs that are pretty good... not as good as after market but the sway bars are plenty stiff for street driving.... idk how spring would compare(id prolly buy new springs)

blue89vert 04-01-2006 08:12 PM

i am thinkin about cutting my springs, whadaya think?

Your car will ride like ****. That and I heard that cutting springs screws up the spring rate which makes it perform very poorly.

OK nevermind, I'll just wait and get some Eibachs when I get the extra money. What brand is better Lakewood or UMI for suspension parts?
