Which Coolant
 

With spring coming up I'm going to need to change all my fluids and just do some general preventive maintance and I just want to make sure I'm using the correct type of coolant.

50/50 premix from prestone i think would be your best choice IMO

50/50 of the ORANGE GM approved dexcool

you can even buy the stuff pre mixed for like 8 bucks a bottle... Cant go wrong!

I herd there was a class action lawsuit with that dexcool stuff...?

I know it used to eat gaskets on the grand ams

Gm is still using Dex Cool and I cant find the article...

the lawsuit has been thrownout from my understanding since everyone involved was not following directions. If you change you must flush teh system very well, I just use the all color and call it good (a GM service manager recomended it to me)

Yea i say dex cool thats definatly the way to go just dont mix it with the green stuff, i think prestone came out with a 50/50 that you can mix with anything it says it on the bottle that you can. the coolant is yellow in the bottle. But i never tryed it.

the advance auto brand is an all color. I never buy pre mixed i hate throwing money away on someone elses water

Yea it is, same here also i mix my own. But the gay thing is we barley ever sell any sraight non mixed stuff everyones ****** lazy. Its a buck or two more for the non mixed and you get twice as much.

Same thing goes on at Oreillys. Everyone wants the stuff premixed I'm lucky my car uses the cheap green stuff. :D I have been considering just running stright water and just add 2 bottles of purple ice to the water.
